We started as a small student club in a single college. Today, we are a global community of 12,000+ students across 800+ cities worldwide, partnering with 300+ companies, running 600+ events annually, and helping 4,200+ students land their dream roles.

Campus Hype started in 2021 in a dorm room. Four engineering students. One frustration: "Why is everything that matters for our career — internships, hackathons, mentorship, certifications — locked behind paywalls?" We decided to build the free version.

How we got here
In Q4 2021, we ran our first hackathon on a college campus in Gurugram with 12 students. Six months later, we ran 8 hackathons across 6 cities. By end of 2023, we crossed 10,000 members. By mid-2025, 25,000+ and 800 cities. None of this was venture-funded. None of this was paid promotion. Word of mouth, real value, real outcomes.
Today Campus Hype is the largest free, student-led engineering community in India — and we are just getting started. Our north-star metric is not revenue. It is the number of students who get their dream first job because of something we built. That is what we wake up for.
